After graduating in 2016, artist Zhuoyue chose to remain in Jingdezhen, the heart of porcelain, drawn by a quiet, unwavering love for clay. Against her family’s wishes, she followed the pull of her passion and opened a small studio of her own. With no formal training, she learned by watching, by feeling, by shaping — letting her hands lead where words could not. Slowly, with patience and persistence, she uncovered her voice in the silence of the wheel, her unique style blooming like glaze in the kiln. Her work now finds its home in the everyday — in tableware and tea sets, where beauty meets ritual.
Zhuoyue’s intention has always been simple yet profound: to create pottery that carries warmth. To her, the first touch, the first glance — they matter. She dreams of pieces that do more than serve; she hopes they comfort, that they speak softly to the hands that hold them, and bring a quiet joy to daily life.
