Masaki Kusada

艸田正树

Masaki Kusada, born in 1967 in Hashima, Gifu Prefecture, began his creative path after graduating from Nagoya University, where he explored expression through theater and visual work. In 1998, he shifted from urban planning to full-time creation, establishing his artistic practice at Kakuu Teien and developing a distinctive approach to glass. His work soon gained recognition, receiving awards such as the Silver Prize at the Takaoka Craft Competition and selection for the Japan Craft Exhibition. Kusada’s pieces are known for their quiet presence, poetic forms, and thoughtful sensitivity to light and material.
