An object made of wood in the shape of a stone. Its surface is coated with urushi lacquer mixed with powdered stone. It is crafted to depict a stone, a material that stands in stark contrast to wood. At first glance, it appears to be real stone, but only upon touching it does one realize it is something else.

It makes an interesting accessory tray or may even serve as a decorative sekimori-ishi, a Japanese "stop stone" wrapped with a fiber cord and traditionally used as a polite sign meaning, "Do not enter."

Avoid storing in excessively hot or humid environments. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
