White sabi-urushi

Sabi-urushi is a traditional mixture of finely ground stone powder and urushi lacquer, historically used as an undercoat. Here, it is celebrated as the visible finish, creating a distinctive textured surface. A final coating of white urushi lacquer gives the piece a soft, ceramic-like appearance while retaining the warmth, durability, and unique character of lacquer.

The lacquer surface will naturally develop a richer patina with use.

Hand wash recommended. Not suitable for the microwave, oven, or dishwasher. Clean thoroughly after each use and keep the woodenware dry. 

Avoid storing in excessively hot or humid environments. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
