This vessel expresses the natural form of the wood itself, and its imperfections reflect the beauty found in the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi. It is made from distinguished zelkova wood, traditionally used in temple and shrine architecture. The surface has been coated with multiple layers of urushi lacquer, making it both durable and suitable for serving food.

The lacquer surface will naturally develop a richer patina with use.

Hand wash recommended. Not suitable for the microwave, oven, or dishwasher. Clean thoroughly after each use and keep the woodenware dry. 

Avoid storing in excessively hot or humid environments. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
