yumiko iihoshi | kyu-su teapot
Partnered with Nankei Pottery, a pottery studio that has been continuously producing Banko ware teapots.
Many parts are hand-thrown on a potter's wheel before being joined together. The entire process is by the skilled hands of the craftsman. Each lid is individually fitted to the body, resulting in a perfectly snug and satisfying fit. Made with a fine-grained clay and fired without glaze, these cups are less likely to absorb the aroma of tea, allowing you to enjoy the unique fragrance of each tea.
